Welcome to the inaugural post for Motivational Monday, here at EthnicMotherhood!
Gilbert Keith Chesterton said that “ if a thing is worth doing, it is worth doing badly.”
This quote speaks to the fact we may not always perfectly execute what we set out to do but that should not deter us from trying. Sometimes we may feel that we lack the resources or the timing to get it right the first time, so what is the use trying, right? Wrong!
It is so easy to get paralyzed with all the excuses that feed into the fear of failure, but we never ever know unless we try. So, try it now and explore what could be in store. Do it now because there will never be a time when all the resources are lined up in perfect cohesion. Take the leap, get it done and embrace the possibilities.
Actionable Steps:
Identify a task or venture that has been put on the backburner
Don't overthink it; don't self-doubt; don't procrastinate
Go all in and get it done, no apologies and no excuses
What did you get done today? Let me know in the comments below. Until then,
Best Regards and talk to you soon!

I read this on the perfect day as I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed the past few days and haven’t been able to clear my head. This morning I got to work and started breaking things down into small things that I needed to do and now I have so much that I’ve been able to do that I don’t feel so overwhelmed and feel capable of getting more off my list!
Congratulations Samantha on your productivity today! Sometimes it just takes that first step in the direction of our goals to get accomplished! So happy for you, keep up the momentum, you’ve got this!
I definitely needed this! I started off productive Monday however, things could get more organized with less overthinking and self-doubt. Thank you for sharing this.
Mallie, you are very welcome! All we need, a lot of times, is that first step in the direction of our goals! Thanks for stopping by….
